Tom Alteen (Drums), Bill Eaton (Bass and Vocals), and Fred Colbourne (Lead Guitar) are seasoned musicians and are the band's foundation. (Tom and Fred knew each other from growning up in Corner Brook while Bill and Tom were old band buddies from Prosser's Rock.)
In Spring 2024, after seeing a YouTube cover of July Talk's "Picturing Love" by Peter Benson and Erica Gregory, Tom invited Peter and Erica to join our merry band.
The band made its debute at Ashley's Big Ben's Pub in August 2024 as Dammerills Lane.
Dammerills Lane decided to change its name to Rebel Tide in Spring 2025. Our first gig as Rebel Tide was at The Black Sheep in July of that year.
Erica decided to leave the band in Fall 2025 and Peter similarly left the band in Spring 2026, both wishing to pursue other interests.
We were thrilled to share the stage with these two talented performers and are grateful for their easing our transition with Suzie Cranford as our Lead Singer and Keyboardist.
Tom connected with Suzie on Bandmix and she made her debute with the band at The Ship Pub & Kitchen in Fall 2025.
Suzie's love of Rock, Pop, and Jazz made it easy for The Golden Boys to find common musical interests that transcend the generational gap. This is reflected in the great selection of tunes we are pleased to perform during our public shows.
