Peter is originally from Botwood, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Peter started teaching himself acoustic guitar in his early teens, born from an interest in alternative rock and emo music of the 2000s. Moving to St. John's to attend Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUNL) in 2011, he has played in a number of small-time shows throughout high school and university, including 2014's MUNL Winter Carnival Musical Talent competition. After university, he began to work on his songwriting, and recorded two experimental EPs (2019, 2023) focused on mandolin and acoustic guitar.

Peter's musical influences include the Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Prince, The Tragically Hip, Alanis Morisette, the Black Pumas, Brody Dalle, among many others.
