Bill got his first guitar at 11 getting his performance start offering
concerts to his siblings' stuffed toys. At least they were quiet while he
strummed through 60s folk tunes. By the late 60s Bill had evolved into
playing the bass. In the early 70s, Bill and the Simms brothers formed the
band Matchbox which played at nightclubs and high school dances.
By the late 70s, Bill began writing and performing medical parodies on the
guitar. He continues to perform comedy songs in clubs and after dinner
events. He is delighted to be a part of Rebel Tide.
After retirement he started taking ski instruction as well as guitar and
bass lessons—you can't teach old dogs new tricks but you can make them
better.
